A busy couple of weeks!

Happy Birthday Lexie!!

On April 17th Lexie turned 2!! I can't believe that she is 2 already! We had a birthday party for her at Leo's place with family and a few friends. Lexie had so much fun at her party and got some really fun toys for her birthday. I forgot my camera (yes...I pretty much get mother of the year for that one) so my mom took some pics for us at the party but I haven't gotten them off of her camera yet. Since Broc's parents were out of town on her birthday Lexie got to have two parties, which she didn't mind at all! I'm just nervous that she'll think she gets two parties every year. Here are some pictures from Lexie's party at Grandpa and Grandma Pocock's house.

Lexie loved her Ice cream cake that grandma Pocock got for her!

Aunt Mandy got Lexie this doll and she loves to "cut" it's hair. It was so funny because she told me that she was talking to aunt Mandy on the phone.

Welcome home Brayden!!

On Saturday, April 25th Broc and I went with his mom to the airport in Salt Lake City to pick up Brayden. He was just getting home from a mission in Brazil. We were all so excited to see him again. Blayne, Leslie, and Kenzie got to go to Brazil for 10 days and see where Brayden had been living for the last two years. It was fun to listen to their stories and see their pictures. It sounds like they had fun but were so happy to be back in the U.S. again! Brayden has only been home for a couple of weeks but he is already Lexie's buddy. She loves him! I took my camera but we were all so excited to see him that we didn't take any pictures of us with Brayden so here is one of Brayden with his friends.

Easter Weekend

Our Easter weekend started off good my mom and I took Lexie, Seth, and Connor to an Easter Egg hunt in Menan Saturday morning and they all had fun and got some candy then we took them back to my parents house so they could play on their new jungle gym and ride their four-wheelers. Lexie and Connor were having a blast playing of the swings and Seth was doing laps around my parents yard on his motorcycle.

Then we heard Seth crash followed by screams for help. We all ran over to him and he was tangled up in a barbed wire fence. When my mom took off his helmet we saw that his face was cut up pretty bad. My parents took him to the ER while I stayed with Lexie and Connor. Broc had been riding his motorcycle on a track at my cousins house about a mile away so I called him and told him to hurry back. When he go to my parents he was hopping on one foot. He told me that 5 minutes before I called he had crashed his motorcycle and hurt his ankle. His ankle was already swollen and he couldn't put any pressure on it. I tried to talk him into getting it looked at but he said that he was fine and that it was probably just a sprain. My sister called and said that Dr. Wilson had seen Seth and that he needed to take him to surgery to debrid and close his cuts. Broc and I took Lexie and Connor to my aunts house and headed for the hospital. When we got there Broc's ankle was so sore that I had to get him a wheel chair, but he still insisted that he didn't need to get it checked out. Seth's surgery went well and he is doing good now. He's such a tough little guy!

Seth in the ER before surgery.

Seth still sleepy after surgery.

Broc's foot after his wreck.

We got some crutches for Broc from his dad. He said that it's still pretty sore but he thinks it's getting better.
Hopefully next weekend is better! I hope that everyone had a good Easter!

Our Trip to Tucson!

Broc's mom and John invited us to go to Tucson with them for a few days. We were so excited to get out of this cold weather and go on a little mini vacation! We flew of of Idaho Falls Thursday afternoon and arrived in Tucson around 3pm. It was sooo nice there! It was in the high 80's and sunny the whole time we were there. John rented a convertible so we drove around with the top off as much as we could to soak up some extra sun. We went to dinner at a place called the Claim Jumper and it was so good! If you ever go to Tucson I highly recommend it! We were all so full after dinner we went back to the Condo and went to bed. On Friday we went to the Old Tucson Studios and saw where they filmed all the old western shows such as Tombstone, Gunsmoke, Little house on the prairie and a bunch of others. It was so cool to see all the old looking buildings. They had some of the original clothes and props from the movies there too.

After the Old Tucson Studios we went to the Pima Air Museum. It was pretty cool to see all the old planes. We even got to go in Air Force One. (of course it was from when Kennedy was president, but it was still fun to see) It's amazing all the amenities that it had in the 1960's I can't imagine what it's like now. We also got to see a plane like the one that dropped the atomic bombs during WWII. Most of the planes were so big that it amazes me that they can even get off the ground.

On Saturday John rented Harleys for us and we rode from Tucson to Tombstone. It was such a nice ride. We took some back roads that Broc and John mapped out so we got to see some of the country in Arizona.

When we got to Tombstone it was like we stepped back in time. All of the buildings are old looking and their was horses and buggies going down main street. We went in the Birdcage Theatre which was owned by Wyatt Earp and his brothers. It is the only original building still standing in Tombstone. It was so cool to see how people lived and what the town would have looked like in the late 1800's. It's amazing to me how much has changed since then. There was some medical tools on display at on of the museums we went in and it's no wonder people didn't live very long, most of them looked like torture devices. We rode back to Tucson and went to dinner at Benihana's. It was so yummy! Then we went back to the Condo to pack and go to bed because we had an early flight home in the morning.

I was so excited to come home and see Lexie we missed her so much!

When we left Tucson it was warm and when we landed in Idaho Falls it was cold, windy and snowing....Welcome home!

Thank you so much John and Melissa for an awesome vacation! Thanks Blayne, Leslie, Mom, Dad, and Mandy for watching Lexie and Gizmo for us, you guys are the best!

We are so lucky to have such a great family!

Lexie's new toy!

We decided to buy Lexie a four-wheeler for her 2nd birthday and since we got a really good deal on this one we bought it a little early. We planned on keeping it a secret and hiding it from Lexie until her birthday, because it probably wouldn't be nice enough to ride for a while....right? Wrong! We couldn't stand it! The first nice weekend we showed Lexie her new toy. She was so excited she just kept saying, "my brooom brooom". So we put on her snow clothes and took her for rides around my parents house. Connor and Seth got a new four-wheelers too so it was so much fun for them all to be riding around on them. Seth was so happy because his four-wheeler is bigger than the "baby" ones. Here are some pictures from this weekend.

Here are the new toys all lined up in Grandpa Douglass' garage. Lexie's is the white one and the yellow ones are Connor and Seth's.

Lexie loves to push the gas but hasn't figured out how to steer it yet. Maybe next year Lexie will be big enough to ride by herself but for now she has to have a parent with her.

Broc giving Lexie a ride. The snow was hard enough that they could ride on top of it. I think Broc likes the new four-wheeler as much (or more) than Lexie!

We had so much fun riding the four-wheelers with the kids! I can't wait until summer so we don't have to be all bundled up and we can take the kids on some fun trails.

"Mommy....K?"

So mainly I'm posting to whine, but I am soooo sick of being sick! This pregnancy has been so hard. I have been really tired and nauseated almost everyday for the last 3months! I finally started to feel like the morning sickness is going away and then I got a really bad cold. It started last Thursday and I have been miserable ever since. Now instead of being nauseated from morning sickness I'm throwing up from coughing too much. Poor Lexie and Broc probably think that I'll never get better. Every time I start coughing Lexie gets this concerned look on her face and says, "mommy, k?" It is so cute! I love that she wants to make sure I'm okay. I feel like such a bad mother and wife because I literally sit on my butt all day long. Broc has been so good to me. He has been busy cleaning house, doing laundry, and taking care of me and Lexie. I had a really bad night last night and was up most of the night coughing, gagging and blowing my nose. Broc called his work and told them that he needed to stay home with me for a little while. It was so nice! He took care of Lexie and let me sleep in then he made me breakfast and cleaned the house and before he went to work he made sure to go get something for me and Lexie for lunch. I'm so lucky to have such a great husband!!

First Pictures of the Baby!

Today I had my first Ultrasound of the baby. I have been so excited to actually see the baby that has been making me soo sick! We took Lexie to the Doctor's appointment so she could see the baby too. She LOVED it! She was pointing at the monitor, smiling and saying, "baby". It was so cute! When the doctor handed me the pictures of the baby Lexie insisted on holding them. Oh and by the way I am only having ONE baby! I was so happy that it wasn't twins! My family has been teasing me and saying that I was having twins, which my dad and sister cleverly named Mac and Arthur McArthur. Needless to say if I were having twins I would NOT name them Mac and Arthur. The doctor gave me some medicine for morning sickness so hopefully my sick days are behind me! Now I just can't wait to see if we are having a boy or a girl. I took the gender predictor test and it said boy, which Broc was very excited about but we'll see. Like I keep telling Broc that test is just for fun, it's not a for sure thing!

This is a 3D Ultrasound Picture I think it turned out really good.

It was so fun to see the baby in 3D!

This is the regular 2D ultrasound. I love this picture cuz it looks like the baby is waving at us!
