Our Christmas Surprise!

We're going to have a BABY!!! We are so excited! We wanted to tell our parents in a fun way so I went to the craft store and got some iron on transfer sheets and make Lexie a T-shirt to wear saying "I'm gonna be a BIG SISTER". And that is what she wore to our families houses on Christmas morning. It was so fun to see everyone's reactions. Everyone is so happy for us. I'm not very far along but I couldn't stand to keep the secret any longer! The baby is due around the end of August. Hopefully before my birthday on the 29th!

~~~~~~~~~~*SnOw DaYs*~~~~~~~~~~
The snow is finally here! I am so excited that we are going to have a white Christmas! I don't really like snow but it doesn't seem like Christmas without it. It was so nice outside today and the kids wanted to play in the snow so I dressed them up and sent them out.
Poor Connor didn't have any snow clothes at my house so he had to wear Lexie's pink snow pants and pink gloves but he didn't seem to mind it at all. Since Connor was wearing Lexie's new snow pants she had to wear her old ones which are a size 6/9 months so they were a little tight and high-waters but they both had so much fun! The had a snowball fight, made snow angels and played on the slide. It was so fun to watch them. After they were both wet and cold we went inside for some hot chocolate.
Well that was going to be the end of my post but while I was typing the kids were playing in Lexie's room and I heard a loud crash. I ran in there to see what was going on and this is what I found.
Before I could even speak Seth said, "Look Bob! We made a fort!" He was so excited and they were all having so much fun playing in this "fort". They must have worked very hard on the fort because they stripped all the blankets and mattress pad off of Lexie's mattress and pulled all the baskets off of her shelves and moved it from her closet to the middle of the room. When I walked in Connor was standing on her dresser getting ready to walk on the mattress. I'm guessing that was Seth's idea and Connor was testing it out for him...gotta love older brothers.
You can imagine how excited I was to see this "fort" considering that I had spent most of the morning cleaning my house, especially Lexie's room. I think that Seth could tell that I wasn't very happy because he helped me clean it all up without complaining once. Crazy kids! Oh well, I guess it gives me something to blog about.
Pretty Girl!
This morning while I was checking my e-mail Lexie got in my purse and decided that she needed to put on some make up. It was so funny because when I saw what she was doing she said, "pretty" then she kept saying "cheese" so I took some pictures. She was playing with her hair and posing like she felt so pretty! I guess make up makes little girls feel pretty too. I think that she did a good job for a 1 year old, most of the lip gloss is on her lips and the eye shadow isn't too bad either.
This is Lexie saying "Cheeeese"
~Girls Weekend~
Over the weekend Mandy and I went to Salt Lake City for a girls weekend. We had so much fun!! We started it off with dinner at the Melting Pot on Friday night. I don't know if you've ever been to the Melting Pot but if you haven't you should go! It is so good! On Saturday we went to Little America for breakfast and then drove to Park City to go shopping at the outlet mall.
We found tons of good deals. Then we drove back to Salt Lake and went to the mall. After we were all shopped out we went to an early dinner at P.F. Chang's. Broc eats there when he goes to Vegas and then for a week after he gets back he can't stop talking about how good it is. So when we found out that their is one in SLC we decided to try it. It was the best Chinese food I've ever had! Then we went back to the hotel to get ready for the New Kids on the Block concert. I know it's kinda dorky but we loved them when we were little and we thought it would be kinda fun to see them in concert.
We got to the E-Center about an hour and a half before the concert and there was already a line waiting outside the doors. While we were standing in line we were shocked to see that we were almost the youngest ones there. Most of the people that were going to the concert were in there mid-late thirty's and still had eighty's hair. Some of them even had old school New Kids on the Block clothing on! One lady was probably over forty and at least 300lbs and she had a shirt on that said, "Sorry Jordan I'm married". What?!?! I'm sure he cries himself to sleep at night because he missed out on his chance with her. Then one of the New Kids went over to the window and started waving at everyone. Everyone (except Mandy and I) started screaming! (I'm not a screamer so I found it really easy to hold back.) A few minutes later the screaming started again, I looked up expecting to see another New Kid and saw some guy with long curly hair, they were screaming for nothing, It was so funny! Come on people! We finally got in and found our seats and they were actually pretty good seats! The concert started and to my surprise they were really good! I couldn't believe it! They sounded just as good in concert as on their CD. The lights and special effects were awesome! So I'll admit it, I am definitely a New Kids on the Block fan again!
Thanks Broc, Mom and Dad for watching the kids so we could have our girls weekend! Love Ya!
Halloween
I hope that everyone had a Happy Halloween! Here are some pictures of our Halloween. Lexie was a pirate for Halloween, I found this costume online and loved it! She refused to wear her pirate hat so I put a black flower in her hair instead. I think that it turned out pretty cute!
Here is a picture of Lexie with the boys. Of Course, they can't all be looking at the camera!
Carving Pumpkins
I used to love carving pumpkins when I was younger, but I tried it last year with Lexie and figured out that it's really not that much fun. So I told Broc that it was his turn this year. On Sunday we took Lexie to her grandma and grandpa Pococks and let her pick out a pumpkin. Of course we ended up with on of the biggest ones! As we were driving home I was thinking to myself how much Broc was going to regret getting a pumpkin that big. (I have to admit I laughed a little) Well we all kinda forgot about the pumpkin in the trunk of my car until Thursday (the day before Halloween)! Broc said that he would help Lexie carve it that night. Well he ended up having to work late so guess who got to do it.....that's right....ME! I thought that Lexie would love helping me clean out the slimy guts of the pumpkin, but I was wrong she didn't want anything to do with it. After it was all cleaned out Lexie decided that she wanted to help/play with the pumpkin. I think that the pictures are so funny because it looks like she is going to fall in! The pumpkin was almost as big as her!
Mandy let me use one of the stencils that she bought and it was actually really easy! I think that it turned out pretty cute. Maybe Broc will get his turn next year!
Lexie's Animal Sounds
Lexie loves to make animal sounds and me and Broc are always saying how we need to video her so today I did. Please excuse her crazy hair she decided to use her chapstick as pomade.
Sorry about the weird angle at the end, I'm new to the video function on my digital camera. Oh, and Lexie really can say "Monkey" but I'm pretty sure her favorite word is, "No". I never did get her to blow me a kiss. After Gizmo came over to her all she wanted to do was play with him. O'well I think she did pretty good for her first video.
OnE oF tHe BoYs
I watch Mandy's boys a couple days a week and love it. Of course there are times when I want to pull out my hair but most of the time it is so nice to have kids for Lexie to play with. They all have so much fun together. Connor and Lexie are always attached at the hip, it's so cute to watch them! Here are some pictures of the kids playing.
Lexie loves it when Seth gives her piggy back rides.
I love this picture of Connor and Lexie they climbed up (on what will someday be our fence) to see our neighbor's puppy.
This is what happens when you tell Lexie and connor to say cheese!
I think they look so cute walking together holding hands.
Say Cheese!
Lately Lexie loves to have her picture taken. Every time I tell her I am going to take her picture she runs over to the table and climbs up on it to pose. I'm not sure why she thinks she has to pose on top of the table but it never fails. She always lays on her tummy and says, "eese". Here are some of the pictures I've taken.
This one was right in the middle of breakfast. She was eating her yogurt and saw the camera on the counter and next thing I know she's on the table saying, "eese".
I told her I wanted to take a picture to e-mail to Brayden (Broc's brother on a mission in Brazil) so here it is. Hopefully she finds a new pose soon because this one is going to get old soon!
Slumber party at Grandpa and Grandma's
My parents decided that they wanted to keep all the grandkids overnight for a slumber party at their house. Crazy...I know. So Mandy and I dropped of the kids Saturday, wished our parents good luck and RAN! Broc was out of town so we got to have a girls night out. We had so much fun, we went shopping then to a movie and dinner. It sounds like the kids had tons of fun! My parents took some cute pictures of the kids playing.
Seth spent most of his time riding his motorcycle around my parents yard, he's becoming a very good little rider!
This was one of Seth's crazy ideas and of course Lexie and Connor went right along with it. They had fun and I worked pretty good until they had to turned around, then as you can see in the picture they fell off. Luckily they weren't hurt and if we would have let them they would have jumped back on and tried it again.
Lexie loves to get rides on the four-wheeler and when nobody is around to give her a ride she likes to play on it.
Mmmm...Chocolate!
So...This is what happens when Broc watches the kids! Lexie and Connor were being really quiet so I knew they were up to something. When I got to the kitchen this is what I saw. They were both eating the chocolate powder by the handfuls and they were loving it! Then Lexie started throwing it at Connor. Broc couldn't believe that they got the chocolate mix off the counter. Sometimes I think that they surprise him with how smart they are.
I've been really sick the last few days so Broc has had to take care of Lexie and me (with some help from Mandy). He has also been cooking and cleaning. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband to take such good care of me! Today he said to me, "I don't know how you do this all the time, I've been doing it for three days and I'm exhausted!" It's so nice that he realizes that staying at home with Lexie can be just as hard as going to work and that I don't just sit at home watching T.V. and eating Bon Bons all day. I would also like to say, "Thanks" to my sister and our parents for helping us out over the weekend and while I was in the hospital. We love you guys so much!
More pictures of camping Labor Day weekend...
Here are some more pictures from our camping trip. These were taken on a four-wheeler ride that we went on to Gold Stone with my parents, Mandy and the boys.
This was an old house that we came across it was still in really good condition and it had indoor plumbing!
So...I'm not sure what this thing that the kids are playing on but they loved it.
My mom took this picture for us and she had stand in the ice cold water to do it. Thanks mom!
I love this picture of the kids, except for Lexie's crazy hair. She decided that she didn't really need to have her piggy's in anymore so she pulled them out.
Connor looks so happy!
Happy Birthday to me! (and Mandy)
Friday was me and Mandy's birthday. Since it fell on Labor Day weekend we decided to go camping. Broc took off work Friday so we went to Tendoy on Thursday night. We had so much fun! On Friday we went on a four wheeler ride up past Gilmore and into Meadow Lake campground. It was so cool to see all the old houses and buildings. We found some old mines, it is crazy to think that people actually went down in them. They were basically holes with little logs going across to help brace the walls. When we got to the campground we couldn't believe how pretty it was. We stopped at the campground to eat lunch and let Lexie play by the water. She loved to throw rocks into the lake. She wanted to get in the lake and play 0but we didn't have a change of clothes for her so she didn't get to. Here are some pictures of our ride.
I think this building used to be the general store.
This was an old house, I couldn't even imagine living in a house this small! I guess I shouldn't complain about the size of my house.
This is a picture of one of the mines.
These were taken at the Meadow Lake campground.
Lexie is such a daddy's girl!
